Tuesday July 21 2026 SPY SPX ES Actionable Levels
$SPX fails to hold the bounce. Where must $SPY recover now and how much deeper could we head if we can't?
In Friday’s letter, we wrote:
For Monday, we’re closely watching the key SPX levels of 7424, 7448, 7475 and 7521. Our bias remains lower until we can reclaim those levels overhead. We’ll look to initiate shorts on any rally into 7475 or 7491 that fails to hold, or on a clear break below 7448. That would open 7436…”
This is what happened. We started with an attempt to reclaim the 7521 mark but fell short, hitting a high of 7513.23before a significant drop ensued. This failure led to a swift continuation lower through our critical thresholds of 7491 and 7475, ultimately reaching a low of 7440.53, just shy of our downside target of 7436. $SPY ( ▼ 0.16% ) $SPX ( ▼ 0.17% ) $ES_F ( 0.0% )

The New Trick to Reducing Stress Without Losing Focus
Burnout and stress can make it hard to focus and keep up at work. That pressure builds, creating a cycle that’s tough to break.
If you’re looking for a way to ease workplace stress without feeling drowsy, try CBDistillery’s Daytime Calm gummies.
Each serving contains 50mg of CBG, a non-intoxicating compound derived from hemp, formulated to support calm and daytime focus.
In a 2022 CBDistillery study, CBG was associated with:
Increased focus and mental clarity

Like all CBDistillery products, Daytime Calm gummies are third-party lab tested for quality and consistency.

Now, as we analyze the market’s behavior, it is essential to consider our next steps. What levels must we hold and bounce back above to prevent further declines? Where could we look to initiate a reversal trade?
More in the trade plan below.
Below, we’ll cover the actionable levels, how we played them today and what they mean for the next session.

The inability to recover the key 7521 mark cleared the way for a move back down after the bounce. Always trust the levels.

As readers know trading after a massive move in either direction is risky.
Trying to predict when trend will break is a fool’s game because the trend can be stronger than you ever realize.
Going with the trend is hard because it has already run so far (or dropped) and move may be close to over.
All you can do is pick your entries carefully and with proper position sizing. Trading out 1-3 DTE or further also helps soften the blow.
Yes it will decrease the amount of profit but will greatly help keep you in a trade long enough to see return.
For tomorrow, we’re closely watching the key SPX levels of…
