Tuesday August 4 2026 SPY SPX ES Actionable Levels
$SPX breaks out key resistance level and RUNS. Where does $SPY need to hold tomorrow?
In Friday’s letter, we wrote:
For Monday, we’re closely watching the key SPX levels of 7432, 7453, 7469 and 7485. As long as we hold key supports below us, our bias remains bullish, with long entries on a dip & defense at 7469 and an alternative trigger on a clean break above 7485. Upside targets are 7497 and 7512, and if we can clear and sustain those levels, 7533 and 7556 come into play.”
This is what happened. Today was an impressive session as we witnessed a significant breakout through the key level of 7485 in futures trading, which ignited a powerful rally. The market surged through our upside targets of 7497 and 7512, including 7533 and 7556 ultimately reaching a high of day at an impressive 7610.04. $SPY ( ▲ 1.42% ) $SPX ( ▲ 1.48% ) $ES_F ( 0.0% )

Today was a monster move of 1.5% higher on elevated volume.
Looking ahead, tomorrow we will have key employment data released right after the open, along with at least one FOMC member scheduled to speak at night. These events could introduce volatility, so it’s crucial to stay alert and prepared for any shifts that may arise in the market.
We are receiving some great questions from beginners. This is helping us develop guides for this group as well as the course. More to come but we’ve created a separate channel in the discord just so you don’t have to be shy about bringing those questions to the group. No question is dumb, we grow stronger together!

As readers know trading after a massive move in either direction is risky.
Trying to predict when trend will break is a fool’s game because the trend can be stronger than you ever realize.
Going with the trend is hard because it has already run so far (or dropped) and move may be close to over.
All you can do is pick your entries carefully and with proper position sizing. Trading out 1-3 DTE or further also helps soften the blow.
Yes it will decrease the amount of profit but will greatly help keep you in a trade long enough to see return.
For tomorrow, we’re closely watching the key SPX levels of…
